St. Michael of the Missions
Sao Miguel das Misoyns (mission of St. Michael) - was founded by the Jesuits in 1632 near the Indian settlements Itayaseko (Itaiaceco) under management strategy Guarani Indians to Christianity. In 1940, a museum mission. The museum displays many wooden sculptures of saints made by Indians and Jesuits, some of them more than 2 meters in height. The ruins of São Miguel das Misoyns are under the protection of UNESCO since 1983, along with four other similar monuments on the territory of Argentina and Brazil.
